a room... no, not just any room.
Our room.
I found it one day, minding my galaxy.
There among the star spattered canvas,
the haunting crystal caverns,
and fields of oscillating blue.
Wandering dazed in my cloud
through the forest proper when it caught my mind.
A door with no leaver, no lock, no weakness.
A door with but one key,
a key I held dear.
A key of color, creation, whimsy.
I pressed my soul upon the door, and though no
sound instructed me so,
a lonely darkness beckoned me in.
Said the darkness, this room was mine.
So long as it's company I did keep.
Keep me close, though my barb does hurt,
in the end the suffering makes us stronger.
I agreed,
what was this painting without such contrast?
Parts we became, a puzzle solved in my own way,
a part of it,
a part of me,
together we agreed.
And from that day I visited the room often.
Never once what it was a space before.
What it first appeared, a room,
four faceted window walls,
a twinkling metal frame holding panes of crystalled
skylight ceiling,
and decorated arching brick intersection that
connected it all,
wall for wall.
Each day something new.
A cushion,
a curtain,
a view.
Yes, the view.
Once black, bleak, and empty.
Now, always something refreshing.
Sometimes sky.
Sometimes Trees.
Other times, beneath the ocean's twilight kays.
But perhaps by far, my favorite jar,
is the one inside the rain.
Renewed, refreshed, the world flourishing around it.
In time it grew, our room.
Odds and ends spanned here to there,
and trinkets and wonders a-strewn about the tables
and desks.
Along the longer years we decided to expand and
explore.
From the room, a rouchand.
A grand manor at hand.
And all it was, lost but to we.
We who finally desired to invite the company of other souls in need of sorrow's gift.
To you, I have opened the door to our room.
I share it with few but you blessed weary and true.
It is for you to explore,
you need only ask where and what for.
We are here for you my brothers and sisters,
should you need us.
